During this week me and my partner have continued to edit our video and have reshot the scene where Shryia is in the studio, and have begun planning the filming of an additional scene.
At this stage we have finished editing the the first verse of our music video, this has meant that we have had to review all of the footage that we shot in the park and place the best shots in an order that flows well and that the placing of the cuts matches the beat of the music. In the planning of the additional footage we have both agreed that we need footage of the main character on her own at the end of the song and we have chosen Brick Lane as the location. This decision has meant that we have had to reorder some of the existing footage so that the lip synching still works and we have to do a risk assessment for the new location and plan a day when we are both free to film.
The main challenge this week is that we have had to cut into our editing time to reshoot the studio scene, and although this was competed quicker than the original filming because we knew the exact shots we wanted it still took a total of one hour to film and then upload the footage which is an entire lesson.
We overcame this by again leaving the footage to finish uploading during break so that by our next lesson the footage was uploaded and ready to replace the shots we felt needed altering.
